Guardians

Most people don't like crows and ravens because of the whole Edgar Allen Poe thing. I think they are cool though. In the Pacific Northwest, Ravens are ubiquidous. They are important animals to many of the native peoples.

Brian Moon and I caught this photo reentering camp one Saturday afternoon coming back from the field. These guys are smart and they stand about a foot and a half tall.

I'm from south texas where we only had black birds when I moved to houston where we now have crows I couldn't believe it!! They are as big as my cat!! They are huge!! Anyway they are always "guarding" my community. tink.
